Not One More vs Kwit

Updated 6 September 2026

The short version

What Kwit does

Kwit is a full quit programme. Its App Store description leads with the WHO validation and the user count, then with the method: proven science combined with gamification, and evidence-based cognitive behavioural therapy techniques. You track your smoke-free journey in real time, with personalised statistics on smoke-free days, money saved, cigarettes avoided and health improvements, and every milestone is framed as motivation.

It is rated 4.66 from 2,812 US ratings as of 6 September 2026, free to download with in-app purchases, and updated in the last month. It is a mature product from a company that has been at this for fourteen years.

What Not One More does

Not One More is an iPhone app for getting through one nicotine craving, whether from a vape, a pouch or a cigarette, in about two minutes: guided breathing, then ten squats or a thirty-second hold counted by the phone’s motion sensor, then watching the craving curve fall. Then one question, still want it, answered honestly.

The headline number is cravings beaten. It only goes up. A slip is logged in one tap and never resets anything. There are no levels, no achievements, no streaks, and exactly one notification ever: a reminder before the free trial ends.

It is new, iPhone only, and has no ratings yet. Free for three days, then a subscription, with the price shown in the app before you confirm.

The real difference: tone

Kwit’s design is warm, colourful and game-like, and that is a deliberate choice that works for a great many people. Progress is celebrated, milestones are rewarded, and the app is on your side in a way you can feel.

Not One More is dark, hard and quiet on purpose. It celebrates nothing. It sends nothing. The single interaction is the Hit, and the single number is how many you have got through. The bet is that a certain kind of person, often younger, often vaping, finds encouragement embarrassing and a game insulting, and would rather have a tool that treats a craving as a thing to be got through than a journey to be motivated along.

Neither of these is right in general. One of them is right for you, and you probably already know which.

The other difference: the counter

Kwit, like most apps in the category, leads with smoke-free days. Not One More leads with cravings beaten, because one cigarette sets a day counter to zero and watching it zero is the moment many people delete the app. A cravings-beaten count cannot be zeroed. If a reset has ended a quit attempt for you before, that is the case for the other number.

Questions

What does WHO-validated mean?

Kwit describes itself as the first WHO-validated smoking cessation app; the claim is Kwit’s and the details are on its own site. Not One More makes no such claim. It rests on three sourced statements about cravings, exercise and breathing, and it is not a medical device.

Does Kwit work for vaping?

Kwit is built around cigarettes and describes its statistics in cigarettes avoided. Not One More was built for vaping, pouches and cigarettes from the start, with the units and money in your terms.

Which is cheaper?

Both are free to start. Kwit is free to download with in-app purchases; Not One More is free for three days covering everything, then a subscription with the price shown in the app before you confirm. Which is cheaper depends on how long you use it and which tier of Kwit you would want.

Can I use either with nicotine replacement?

Yes. Neither app is nicotine replacement and neither replaces it. If a pharmacist recommended patches, gum or lozenges, keep using them with either app.
